Cheese in the Morning
This morning, I took the aircon bus to work as is my wont, and as I settled down on a comfortable seat, I looked up and what do you know, there was a video playing inside the bus: an Air Supply concert!

hey miz gypsy, why is it called "cheesy."? I didn't know you were a Rick Springfield fan, i never imagined you'd be like that. heheheheh!
Cheesy--as in BUKI ba. Unsa man ka uy. Hehe. Yes, I was crazy about Rick Springfield, I guess the secret's out then! Hehe. Actually I still love his cheesy songs--wonder where I can find 'em nowadays.
wala ka sa akin...talagang nag download pa ako nga greatest hits nila just yesterday..hehe :)
True, it brings back old memories :) Now I'm kinda nostalgic again hehe. I link you :)
Yes, Verns, ala nga ako sa kalingkingan mo. Hehe.
Pero pag me makita akong greatest hits ni Rick Springfield, dyan na ako magwawala sa pagdownload. :)
Thanks for the link!
Yeah, many people considers Air Supply chessy. Yet these people are the ones worshipping the duo during their heydays in the 80's. lol. Actually Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell produced some really good music-- and many bad ones too.
Mas grabe cousin ko. She flew all the way to Manila from Davao to watch Menudo in concert. Buti na lang, 'ala akong pera no'n, or else I would never be able to live that down. Haha!
air supply while doing your thesis? hmmm... so that is around year 19 kopong-kopong. hehehe. joke! :)
Sabi ko na nga ba, eh...dead give-away yong thesis na yan. :) Okey lang, young at heart pa rin naman ako. Hehe.
Galing! Air Supply! You know, there's really nothing to be ashamed of. Why call it cheesy? Only silly people pass on judgement. There's no need to be ashamed of things that bring you good memories diba? We should really get over these feelings of calling things "baduy" or "cheesy". It's all an illusion, and fads come and go, but good memories are to be respected and cherished.
Besides, they were a really good group that made some good music. Quite better than most of the crap you hear today anyway. So enjoy them and smile. Puts you in a good mood diba? To cherish cheese, is to cherish your memories.
I was an Air Supply fan back in my college days. :) I still have their tape and a CD that I listen to once in a while.
There was once a movie I saw wherein "I can't believe my eyes" was one of the songs played.
I didn't know the title then, but the first line, kept on repeating in my ears throughout the years.
I've dance alone a thousand times
To songs that no one else could even hear
actually, i have a number of air supply songs in my ipod, and it was one of my teenaged sons who downloaded them for me.
I'm telling you, Air Supply tapes and Philippine buses are synonymous with elevators and Kenny G muzak. They've got some *special thing* going on. The last bus I rode on also played Air Supply throughout the trip.
The scary thing was, I found myself singing along too! XP
