Perfect Timing

As I’ve said once before…waiting has never been my strength. But once again, God has proven that:

“Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”(Isaiah 64:4)

Yep, you guessed it. My UK student visa has arrived! Just this morning—after much waiting…and what a wait!

I had resolved not to worry but that didn’t mean that the worry wart in me wouldn't rare its ugly head. In those times, I would keep reminding myself that God is in control and He will see this through for me…no matter what the circumstances may seem to suggest.

It took nearly two months before my visa arrived. Those who've gone for studies in the UK have remarked that it seemed like an unusually long time of processing.

Had I not begged off from a meeting in Singapore that was scheduled last week, I would’ve wasted our organization’s money and cancelled the trip since my passport was still at the embassy.

Had my documents arrive last week, while I was in Davao, I wouldn’t have been able to get my hands on it since they would not have handed it over to simply anyone else.

Had I not get the call early this morning for instructions on how to get to our office (a bit complicated, what with the road widening project of the MMDA), the courier would've gotten lost along the way…and I might have to get my visa myself!

Oh well, all’s well that ends well…but wait! This is just the beginning!

So cheerio, mates, I have to go and look for the cheapest way to fly to London!

Wiii! I'm the first to comment here!

And let me be the first to say, congratulations for getting your student visa. Tuloy na tuloy ka na!

So when do you expect to be in London? I'm also planning to be there in September (fingers crossed). :) Kung matuloy, EB tayo! :D

Wow! It's amazing how things work out, huh? And you'll soon be leaving us *sniff* :-(

Hey, Alan(abaniko), Verns and I might have an EB this weekend. Sama ka ha? ;-)

Wow!!! Congrats Gypsy. Does that mean we're not gonna see each other for 2 years? First, it's Flue. Now, it's you. Sige, mang-iwan kayo. Boohoo!

Drama lang yan. Ang totoo, I'm very happy for you. All the best for you, Gypsy!

Well, it arrived! Thank God for that. When are you leaving by the way? I know it's school holidays in the UK now. I forgot it's already July, 2 months more and it's back to school.

That's quite long for a student visa huh? Anyway, cheap ticket? Let's see, walang Air Asia or Tiger dun. :)

I think if it's not peak season a bit cheaper huh. For me, buying online is cheaper. Try to compare among travel agencies.

Which school are you going nga pala if you don't mind my asking?

Good luck! :)

congratulations, when you see the queen tell her i said hi.

Woohoo! God is truly the God who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him... Why is it that waiting for Him can be so much harder than getting in and having a go at doing it ourselves ??? Congratulations on passing the waiting test! :-)

Ipanema, thanks! I was told about this airline called Oasis that flies cheap from HK. But still canvassing pa through our travel agent--umaasa pa akong may cheap flight sa sosyal na airline at ma-bump up to first class--just dreaming..Hehe. My school is called Redcliffe College based in Gloucester.:)

Paulo, I will! I am sure she is waiting to hear about you! Hehe...basta ako si Prince William ang tatargetin, este, hahanapin.

San,I know what you mean--we ae simply impatient creatures, I guess. Thanks and hope to see you sometime before I leave? Any chance of that happening?

Wil, hehe, gulat nga ako sa yo..ikaw pa of all people..thought you were gonna start a fight in my blog, uy ha, no fighting. Hehe. Will send your regards anyway.;)

Niceheart, thank you!! But I'll be outside London for most of my stay-which is good din since they say London is so expensive...

Great news Gypsy! Which school are you going to. Is this leading to an MA? Do you get pounds from British Council?

Won't ask you na to visit the queen nor to study hard. Just be sure to go to Westend some weekends for theatre. Inggit ako dyan. Because I didn't really have my fill when I spent a summer there light years ago. Do me a favor and ask whether Mousetrap is still showing. Its supposed to be the longest running play in London.

Radcliffe pala. sounds ivy league ah.
