Albert Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Quite a number of organizations have actually adopted this as a corporate mantra. Some days I feel like I am in one...other days, I think we're only slightly neurotic (whew!). It all depends on the level of insanity thrown at me in meetings and the issues I hear.
There are times when I just want to throw in the towel and join another organization. But I've since realized that each organization has its own level of insanity. So why not stick to insanities that I'm used to and can do something about? Who knows, I might be able to contribute equally insane alternatives that just might help move the cart along? Like maybe triangular wheels?
Now to stop pushing and start fixing those wheels…

I guess you're right -- every organization has its own insanity and inanity that its vision-mision-goals do not reflect. And we who are in it sometimes do not recognize them for what they are. Sometimes i think my office has the triangular wheels you so metaphorically blogged about. But if you point it out to higher authority ... is it like telling the emperor he has no clothes?
You wanna see insanity? Try living here in Divisoria amidst the noise and the haste... :-D
And I haven't included some of the people I work with everyday...
true true. triangular wheels would definitely be better.
Anna, hehe! You got me! The challenge for me is to point out to the naked emperors their true condition in a diplomatic way...I'm a "call a spade a spade" person, therein lies the rub. Alas!
Snglguy..hey this is not a "whose more insane" contest! Hehe...we all have different levels of neurosis, so between the two of us, I wonder..;)
Paulo..i will install them but will sit on top of the cart, don't wanna be one of the "pushers," if you know what I mean! :)
Way to go!!! Yes, your thinking is what we need in you as a friend and co worker- so hang in there with us eh? Keep chipping away at the square wheels!!
Yes, you're right... each organization has its own insanities for each one is also a microcosm of the world.
my sanity could be insanity to others :)
